It is time again for my Monthly Progress Review. This article will highlight the twelve trades I made in the month of February, as well as the profit (or loss) I received for each trade. This month I also added to one of my long term dividend holdings because I felt the entry price was right. Hopefully that particular trade encourages some of my devout dividend investor readers.
In other news, my technical analysis has continued to improve, and as a result it has allowed me to be somewhat more aggressive in my active trading. These 'chart based' trades as I'll call them, have been more profitable than some of my other methods. Furthermore, (and this is the most exciting improvement for this month I believe) is that I have begun shorting. Overall, another extremely active month for me in terms of buying and selling. I was proud of several of my trades, and especially disappointed in some of my others. I guess that's the way it goes.
Nonetheless, listed below is a summary of the dividends I received for the month of February in my Dividend Income Portfolio, as well as the profit or loss from my day trading activities:

Monthly Progress Review: January
It is time again for my Monthly Progress Review...the first monthly progress review of 2012!
This was another huge month for me in terms of buying and selling. My day trading plan is in full effect; however, I continue to earn dividends from my 5 core dividend growth holdings, such as Realty Income (O).
In the month of January, I made 10 stock trades. In this article I will highlight the details of each trade - showing you exactly which companies I bought and sold, AND their corresponding profit or loss. Overall, a very exciting month to begin the year.
Without further adieu, listed below is a summary of the dividends I received in my Dividend Income Portfolio and the profit (or loss) from my day trading activities for the month of January:

Recent Sell #4
“Another sale?” you may be asking? “This guy has lost it,” you may be thinking. “He has completely abandoned his strategy,” you may claim. BUT STAY WITH ME. I do have a detailed plan in place, and will unfold all of the details if you just read on. Though I have trimmed my positions, a more in depth look will reveal that I haven’t sold off that much of my portfolio ‘percentage-wise’ (which I’ll explain in greater detail later).
In this article, I will highlight the final sale that I recently made in order to fully fund my day trading strategy.
Though some of you are probably more than skeptical at this point, I am hoping that when I release the results of my first month of day trading in my “December Monthly Progress Review” that you will, if nothing else, appreciate my attempt. I intend to be completely open and honest with reporting my results of this new venture. So, we’ll see how it goes!
Without further adieu, the following company was last on my list of targeted sales:

Recent Sell #3
The selling continues.
In one month alone I have now sold six of my fifteen holdings. (But stay with me. Let's see how this turns out.)
This article will highlight two more companies that I have targeted to be eliminated from my dividend income portfolio. The two companies that I have now sold my entire position of were:

Continuing my effort to amass the necessary capital to fund my day trading strategy, I have sold once again.
This article will cover my recent sales of two more great dividend paying companies. This time, the following two companies were placed on the dreaded chopping block:

Recent Sell....
This is the first time in two years I have sold a stock. Two years gone by without selling.
Consequently, this is the first article where I will highlight the details of my decision to sell. In fact, my decision to sell two companies. Two great dividend paying companies at that.

Final Recent Buy...
Well, I pulled the trigger again. Probably for the last time this year.
I am completely leveraged at this point and need to seriously focus on re-balancing and rebuilding cash reserves.
Nonetheless, I am happy with my decision and would like to share the details of it with you now.
Recently I added to my position of:

New Recent Buy...
Recently I added another position to my portfolio.
With the addition of this company, I now have 15 dividend stocks (and have accomplished one of my goals for 2011! :)
The stock I recently purchased was:

Recent Buy...
As some of you know, I began investing in individual companies back in January 2010. Then in January 2011 DividendPartisan was created. Well, I recently made another purchase - nothing fancy, just adding shares to a company I already own. In fact, I initiated a position in this company with only 15 shares back in January 2010 (that was all I could afford).
That purchase was one of my first stock purchases EVER, and was part of the 'original six;' the six companies I started with to create my dividend income portfolio. Well, with the recent massive drop in stock price, I decided to pick up some more shares and thereby considerably lower my cost/share.
The company I just purchased was:
Monday, August 8, 2011
Recent Buy...
From April 29th through August 2nd, the S&P 500 fell 8%.
What does that mean to me?...
Time to start buying!

Dividend Portfolio Analysis: Part 2
When I updated my 'Portfolio' tab for the month of march, I also mentioned that I would do an in depth analysis of my Dividend Income Portfolio. From that assertion, this series began.
For this post, I will review the highlights from my first post, Dividend Portfolio Analysis: Part 1, and will then spend the rest of the article addressing my portfolio's Dividends. As Dividend enthusiasts, I hope you enjoy it; and I look forward to your comments.

New Series: "My Dividend Portfolio Analysis"
Now that DividendPartisan has been in operation for over two months, I feel it is time to take an in depth look at my Dividend Income Portfolio.
I would like to remind my readers that this is my actual 'real-life' portfolio; one that my wife and I have invested our hard-earned money into. That said, it would be foolish not to take the necessary time to evaluate our current position and plan for the way ahead. I welcome any comments or advice.
